A virtual machine compiler engineer designs, builds, and maintains a high-scalable platform for executing smart contracts. They should be experienced in designing, parsing, and interpreting domain-specific languages. Experience with platforms such as Ethereum, Quorum, Hyperledger, etc is favorable. We are pushing the limits for throughput using smart contracts. We are looking for candidates who share a passion for building Virtual Machines that can operate at high orders of scale.

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • BS degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages including but not limited to: Java, Scala, Go, Erlang, Ruby, Python, Javascript, C++, Rust

 

Skills:

  • Scala / Java
  • Go
  • C/C++

 

Techniques:

  • Test driven development
  • Abstract syntax trees
  • Merkle trees

 

They will work on:

  • Modifying and upgrading the Ethereum virtual machine to add custom functionality
  • Designing a Solidity compatible virtual machine for high-frequency transactions
  • Work with Ethereum community to make contributions

 

Pluses:

  • Knowledge of  Ethereum
